T’Challa returns to Wakanda only to find out that a man from
another tribe wants his throne.
This was a pretty good movie with great music, phenomenal
action scenes, and visually amazing. It’s not a perfect movie with no flaws
though. There are a lot of small flaws I found while watching the film I’ll
talk about after talking about the good things. I like Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, he shows
that he really likes playing his character a lot. Michael B. Jordan was great
as Kilmonger but he’s not shown as much as he needed to be. He comes in the beginning
then disappears to only show up an hour in. He was a great villain with a great
motivation that the MCU never really understands. They always have very bland villains
that are forgettable. The character that I really liked the most was Shuri who
is like the Q of Wakanda. She’s highly intelligent and hilarious. I was afraid
she was going to ruin the movie but thankfully she didn’t. The flaws in I found
mostly is the pacing. The whole film felt very long and it picked up at times
then went back to being slow. It was kind of predictable but I think that is
the probably with the MCU films. The more fans watch them, the more things
become predictable. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan of these films but that’s
the feeling I’m getting. As a Marvel film it’s not as good as the rest of the others
but as a standalone film, it’s pretty good and definitely a must see.
Verdict:7.7.
